Who Books a Charter and Why?
It may seem obvious as to who books a fishing adventure and why. Here are some great reasons why you may want to reserve your own fishing adventure.

Families: Reunions, get togethers, birthdays, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Moms and Dads wanting to share an educational outdoor experience with their children

Corporate groups: Team building exercises and post meeting/workshop rewards

Business owners: Recognizing valuable employees (employee rewards, retirement gifts), employee group outings

Non-anglers: Those that have never fished before but are looking for something fun, exciting and unique to do

Where do I get an angling licence?
All angling licences are available online and can be purchased in advance of your fishing trip, for the dates you will be fishing. Please go to https://j100.gov.bc.ca/pub/ras/signin.aspx This site is very easy to use and has all the licences you will require. If you are unsure of which licences you will require, please send us an email or give us a call to verify licencing requirements. Alternatively, you can wait upon your arrival and purchase an angling licence at the local tackle shop, however you may experience delays due to store hours. Online advance licence purchasing is highly recommended.
What clothing will I need?
We always recommend layers, even in the summer time. A quick check of the weather forecast in advance of your trip will assist you in planning please visit the weather network as it never hurts to have a rain jacket on hand, unless you are certain that rain is not imminent! Even if it doesn’t rain, the rain jacket is a handy windbreaker. Remember, it is usually cooler on the river that it is on land.
Do I need to bring waders?
All of our boats have waders and boots on board. For most trips, these waders are generally used for simply jumping in to release sturgeon and some salmon. If we are specifically targeting salmon, particularly fly fishing, waders are an important component of clothing, and it may be best to bring your own waders and boots to ensure proper fit and confidence in their warmth. If you do not have a pair, just let us know and we will ensure there are waders available for you.
Where will we meet on the day or the fishing trip?
All of our trips will meet at our marshaling point which is the Chilliwack Coast Hotel, unless otherwise arranged and agreed upon. You will find Cascade Fishing Adventure’s guides and boats parked on the east side parking lot at the corner of Young Street and Cheam/First Avenue.
What time do we meet?
We depart from our marshaling point at 7:45 a.m., unless otherwise arranged and agreed upon.
What methods of payment can be used to pay for the fishing trip?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, certified cheques, cash, etransfers (within Canada), wire transfers (International – please contact us for bank details).
How many other people besides our group will be on the boat?
When you book your trip, the boat is exclusively booked to your group only.
Is there protection from the sun or rain on the boats?
All of our boats are covered to allow you to fully enjoy your trip whether the day brings sun or cloud.
Can I take the fish home?
Providing you bring a cooler, yes you can, plus we clean it and fill the cooler with ice to keep your fish fresh until you get home. For overseas clients, please contact us to discuss shipping and transportation.

Please note: Sturgeon are catch and release only!

Gratuities
These are not expected, but if you have had an enjoyable time fishing with our guides, then anywhere between $50 and $100 is a great way to show your appreciation to your fishing guide.
