Early last November, I had the privilege of guiding two gentlemen from the United States on the Fraser river for sturgeon – Dan M and Dan D. Previous to this, I had been asked by Tourism Chilliwack (#sharechilliwack) and Fish Chilliwack (#fishchilliwack) to assist in making a promotional video for Tourism Chilliwack. Cascade’s job was to provide the opportunity and jet boat to showcase the guided fishing and angling adventure component that Fraser Valley anglers literally bathe in. Dan and Dan were willing participants in this endeavour, and were more than happy to have a camera on board. Justin Booth of Dock Media was the camera-man and editor, and he let the camera roll for a couple days. Justin’s completed work on the ShareChilliwack campaign can be seen here. For our clip, there was a pile of material to sift through, but Karen of Fraser Valley Webs and SEO was kind enough to put this great looking video together which shows a little bit of everything, including a fish! While I have your attention, it is worth mentioning sturgeon fishing season is soon upon us. While the Fraser river never fully cleaned up this winter, it is still a bit on the chilly side. By the end of this month, we expect fish to be actively moving around – and then its game on!
